Organized by Alcaidesa Marina and in the technical part by RCN La Línea and the RGYC, with the sponsorship of the Port Authority, La Siesta Creativa, image, web and communication, and Sack Diving / Moybas-Sport, this end of week the ninth test of the VI Interclubs Strait Cruise Championship.

The regatta was attended by vessels from the RCN Estepona, CAS de Ceuta, Club de Regattas Costa del Sol, RCM Sotogrande, RGYC de Gibraltar, RCN Algeciras, CN el Saladillo, and CN Vendaval de Ceuta, and the host Club itself.

They supported the success of the call for a total of 33 boats, in a spectacular day marked by winds of west between 8 to 15 knots of intensity.

The day was resolved after a windward / leeward tour, assembled by the officer Juan Luis Cervera, leaving from the line rada to the buoy of the Gibraltar airport and from there to the Rinconcillo beach with two laps for ORC2 and ORC3, and a lap for ORC4 and Reduced

In ORC 1, next to the ‘Altarik IV’ of the CN Saladillo they were classified in this order, ‘Bognani’ (Ind) and ‘Paul Chimene’ of RCM Sotogrande.

In ORC 2 he won the ‘Fewoil’ of the RGYC, followed by ‘Kouko’ of the CM Linense and ‘Tanjaoui’ of the RGYC of Gibraltar.

In ORC3 after ‘Etnog’, from RCN Algeciras, ‘Viejo Lobo’ from CN Saladillo and ‘Piriñaca’ from RCN Algeciras were classified.

Finally, Reduced won ‘Cygnus’ from CM Linense, followed by ‘Belesala’ from RCN Algeciras and ‘Winnie’ from CM Linense.

At the end of the day, the Host Club offered a sailor lunch to the sailors at the Alcaidesa Lounge Bar facilities in Alcaidesa Marina.


The next test and the circuit will be held on July 6, organized by the Ceuta Gale Club.
